The doctors therefore had to amputate his second toe.įrom then on, "I was healthy for two years," she says. Indeed, the total amputation of his big toe leads to new infections. Unfortunately for the young woman, her terrible story does not end there. "It took a year for the doctors to understand what infection I had.īy the time they identified it, the bone in my foot had been completely eaten away and I was constantly sick," she says.įinally realising that Victoria had Schwelmenella disease, an infection caused by a bone-eating insect in Thailand that had infiltrated the Australian's surgical wounds, doctors amputated her remaining big toe in December 2012. In 2008, Victoria Curthoys injured the big toe of her right foot with a piece of glass. She had to have all the toes of her right foot amputated, reports the British newspaper The Sun. She loses her nails after a fish pedicureĪ young American woman lost six of her toenails a few months after getting a fish pedicure.Ī 29-year-old Australian woman contracted a toe infection from an insect in the pool water. I don't know how many diseases can be transmitted by water, but it seems that we should be wary of this activity, even if there is no proof today that the two cases below are linked to this practice.Īnd these are two rare cases, every year a large number of tourists dip their feet in these aquariums without having any problems afterwards. This activity is normally harmless, the little fish are not piranhas, yet one woman had to have all her toes amputated and another lost her toenails and the cause in both cases, "would be" these fish pedicures.Ī Thai masseuse, talking about these stories, told me that it was dangerous, that the water was dirty, that they couldn't disinfect it because it would kill the fish and that people with AIDS or other diseases could get foot injuries, contaminate the water and make people with foot injuries sick. These small fish are only a few centimetres long, have no teeth and like to feed on dead skin. The fish pedicure consists of immersing your feet in an aquarium containing fish called garra rufa.

"Deja Vu" is rated PG-13 for profanity, a scene including drug use and brief female nudity. I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu: Directed by Meir Zarchi. The attraction between Foyt and Dillane - neither of whom has matinee-idol looks - is believable, and Redgrave almost steals things with her brief appearance.Īlso, Jaglom doesn't try to make any one character villainous, instead showing that they are all just human and implying in the process that Sean and Dana were meant to be together. On a pre-honeymoon trip in London with her fiance (Michael Brandon), Dana again runs into Sean, who is also there with his wife (Glynis Barber).Īnd they do try to avoid being alone with each other, at least until the risk-taking globetrotter Skelly (Vanessa Redgrave) convinces them that sometimes there's no use resisting what is fated to happen.Įven though the storyline is somewhat contrived and some scenes linger on much too long, the payoff is worth it, thanks largely to the charismatic cast. The two spend a day together before going their separate ways, or so they think. Later, on the English coast, she actually meets the man, a painter named Sean, face-to-face. While trying to return the woman's antique ruby pin, Dana sees a man peering at her through a window. There, she encounters a mysterious woman (Aviva Marks) who turns Dana's life on its ear. That's largely due to an understated, low-key approach by independent filmmaker Henry Jaglom ("Last Summer in the Hamptons"), who created the film as a lovenote to actress Victoria Foyt, his wife, and to their relationship.įoyt co-wrote the script and stars as Dana, a 30-something American on a business trip to Jerusalem. But outside of "The Horse Whisperer," no other film this year has managed to be so unabashedly romantic in tone. And yes, it is troubling that the movie's subject has to be an extramarital affair. Pardon the obvious pun, but there's a very familiar ingredient in Henry Jaglom's drama/fantasy "Deja Vu." It's called old-fashioned romance, which we haven't seen on the screen for a long time.Īdmittedly, there are a few modern-dayisms that creep into the movie, such as a scene depicting drug use. Damage to the Backpack is similar, but carries a couple key differences from leg damage. In space, Leg HP is replaced by Backpack HP. Destroying the legs will reduce basic movement speed to a slow walk, in addition to the previous effects. Significant damage to the legs will cause mobile suits to buckle under the stress and fall to the ground after boosting and jumping, leaving them defenseless and open to attack for several seconds. Significant damage to the head will impact radar performance, while a destroyed head will render the radar completely inoperative, and reduce the mobile suit's attack power. Mobile Suits have a set amount of HP not only to indicate the "health" of the overall unit, but of the head and legs as well. In space, Support Fire is a beam barrage from faraway ships that are easily capable of instantly destroying any enemies caught in the line of fire. On ground, Support Fire is a sustained aerial bombing run in a relatively small radius. Also, although they cannot see the marker, enemies will receive an alert 5 seconds into the Support Fire's countdown, giving them a chance to evade it. However, allies may be heavily damaged (though not destroyed) if they are caught in friendly Support Fire. Support Fire has the ability to heavily damage and easily destroy enemies if they are caught in its radius. A new addition to Battle Operation 2 is "Support Fire", which can be activated at spawn points in certain game modes. The jump command has been changed to "ascend" and crouch to "descend".Īs in the original game, pilots can leave their mobile suits for a variety of tasks, including capturing spawn points, planting/disarming bombs at bases, commandeering enemy mobile suits, and using various vehicles parked around spawn points. However, a key difference is that instead of being limited to a singular plane or surface, movement has been redesigned to freely ascend and descend on a vertical axis. Space still operates using similar dimensions as ground combat, and the controls are relatively the same. In addition to the ground-based combat of the original game, Battle Operation 2 introduced maps for space combat. Like the original Battle Operation, the game takes its playable roster of mobile suits exclusively from the Universal Century timeline, and battles are fought between two teams of between 1-6 players each via peer-to-peer connection. The proposed Steam port will not allow cross-play with the PlayStation versions. However, the first network test proved "unable to provide an adequate playing environment" and a planned second network test was postponed on June 23 and was not rescheduled until the following year, beginning on Januand running for three days. On April 7, 2022, network tests for a proposed PC port were announced on the game's Steam page. While cross-play is still permitted with players using the PlayStation 4 version, the PlayStation 5 version utilizes the inherently unique features of the DualSense controller, and boasts faster loading times and an increased framerate, though the loading times would still remain unchanged for PvP modes. On January 27, 2021, an enhanced version of Gundam Battle Operation 2 was made available for the PlayStation 5. The game was released to western territories, including North America and several European countries in October 2019 and English-language voice acting was added to the game in the Januupdate patch. An option for English subtitles was added on October 24, 2018. The game was initially only released in Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Unlike Gundam Battle Operation NEXT, the first spinoff to the original Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation, Battle Operation 2 is closer to a true sequel that keeps and expands upon the gameplay mechanics of the original title, and completely abandons the fast-paced, arcade-styled elements of NEXT. Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 is an online free-to-play action game released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store in July 2018. This is complete offline setup of Camtasia Studio which has excellent compatibility with both 32bit and 64bit operating systems.
No sources, however, have been proven to support Pit, Meowth, Peach, Wario, or any other characters as having ever been planned to be playable in the game. Additionally, Marth was planned but cut due to time constraints, according to an interview from a book titled Making of Fire Emblem: 25 Years of Development Secrets. A page on the official Smash 64 website claims that Bowser, King Dedede, and Mewtwo were indeed planned to be playable in Smash 64, but the reason for their exclusion is not specifically stated. The characters most often rumored to have been planned but cut are Peach, Wario, Pit, and Meowth. Many videos on YouTube continue to claim these rumors, but all of these which supposedly work merely use cheat devices to allow playability of these characters.Ī popular rumor about Smash 64 that came around long after its release was that several characters were planned to be playable in the game, but cut due to time and/or memory constraints. As with other rumors of the time, the supposed criteria ranged from unusual (spinning the control stick 30 times) to ludicrous (completing the 1P Game as every character in a specific order on Very Hard with a stock of one). Non-playable characters hoaxesīeing able to play as characters such as Metal Mario, Giant Donkey Kong, Master Hand, or a Fighting Polygon was the main source of rumors during the game's era. A minor hoax, for instance, claimed to feature the character Agnès from Bravely Default as a playable character, but the faked images improperly spelt her name as "Agn és", and her character portrait was different between the two images given. Furthermore, hoaxers have sometimes made various oversights while producing such images. For example, in the image to the right, Luigi's image is a mirrored version of his official artwork from Super Mario 64 DS adding to this, the hoaxed image features both three-dimensional models (such as for the aforementioned Luigi and the F-Zero character Black Shadow) and two-dimensional illustrations (such as for Marth and Fire Emblem character Micaiah). Particularly low-quality rosters will often use art from various other sources, violating the trend in the series where all art is original to the games. While extremely common, fake character rosters are relatively easy to debunk. The inability to easily customize the character roster for the original game has prevented fake rosters from appearing, as there are no empty spaces, and the game was released before the Internet was widespread. Some of these fake rosters, however, were merely made as jokes, including a particularly famous image featuring over 108 characters and eight player slots. Many character selection screens for Melee also made the rounds, though these screens were less credible due to the ability to quickly distribute images on the Internet being unfeasible during Melee's release by then, all the unlockables had been well-known. Shortly before and after the release of the game in Japan, these images had become more and more common, though the use of video streaming sites such as YouTube quickly disproved most of these rumors as more gameplay footage of the game became public. Box art and character selection screens for Brawl were particularly common, though images of characters in the game also appeared. series has had various works of fan art being passed off as supposedly leaked screenshots. Note that Toon Link is named as Young Link.Īs with any game, the Smash Bros.
